~Do you have a Nintendo DS?? Then this game is for you!!

Montessori Music is an educational game designed to introduce players to the fundamentals of music appreciation and performance, using Classical compositions and a classic teaching technique.

Following methods inspired by physician and educator Maria Montessori, players are encouraged to teach themselves about music, each at his own pace, through self-directed play. The game presents 21 lessons in time, pitch, chords, musical vocabulary, and other areas.

Interactive routines allow players to see, hear, and perform each new musical concept. Quick tests refresh and reinforce new knowledge, and an in-game calendar tracks the player's long-term progress.

Maria Montessori on Music

"For the musical education we must create instruments as well as music. The scope of such an instrument in addition to the discrimination of sounds, is to awaken a sense of rhythm, and, so to speak, to give the impulse toward calm and co-ordinate movements to those muscles already vibrating in peace and tranquility of immobility."
~Maria Montessori

School Song

Let's hear it for our school Beachside
We're always gonna make the grade
We'll learn to learn from all our peers
Because that's how we're made

We're cubs becoming lions
We're aiming to outshine the rest
We're going to roar into our future
Beachside Montessori is the best!
